What I Love About TAEA: After moving to Texas and taking my first ever teaching job in Bryan, TX, I needed a way to network and connect with other teachers in my field. I began working with local teachers through Brazos Valley Art Education Association and this led me to TAEA. Through my work with both organizations, I have met some amazing teachers and artists and have found that I truly love being involved. I wish to continue my involvement by serving all of the private, independent, charter, and art facilitators in Texas who are looking for extra support and encouragement to keep doing what we do.

What I Love About TAEA: I joined TAEA to learn more about the professional network of art educators, and get ideas for teaching and reaching students. I have stayed an active member for all this time, looping more colleagues and educators into the fold of TAEA. I look for ways to give back to this organization as it continues to fuel my art and teaching.

Welcome to the TAEA Private School Division page. As your Division Chair, I will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding TAEA programs and activities for our Division, such as Fall Conference, VASE/TEAM, and YAM. If you have questions about anything else regarding TAEA and our Division, please send questions to me, and I will help you find the answer, or re-direct you to someone who can help. I look forward to working with you as your TAEA Private School Division Chair.

Texas Art Education Outreach

TAEO promotes and offers successful quality art education support to Texas art educators through mentoring and professional development presentations.

  • What can you do to help the members you serve?
  • Do you know a good presenter?
  • Do you know someone who would be a great mentor?
  • Can you send information from people who reach out to you?
  • Can you reach out to other art educators?

TAEO can help with presenters and mentors.

Let's help each other to prepare, support, and encourage Texas art educators.
