Comments, Instructions, or Additional Information:	Kriewald Road School of the Arts is a pK-5th innovative school model of arts-infused and cross-curricular instruction in the Southwest ISD. The school has certified Art and Music teachers along with a small team of arts specialists to accomplish this innovative approach. Southwest ISD is eeking an energetic, dynamic, and hard-working individual to teach elementary Art. The successful applicant will teach Art TEKS to children in grades pre-K to 5th grade and assist with the overall Fine Arts program. The applicant should demonstrate strengths in teaching Art at the elementary level and have a demonstrated ability to work with elementary-aged students and maintain positive working relationships with parents, students, teachers, administration, and the community. A strong work ethic, positive enthusiasm, and a high level of organization is required. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. The successful applicant is also ready to work as part of a Fine Arts team. Kriewald Rd School of the Arts has a rich tradition of Art and Musical performances every year. Successful applicants will be ready to carry on this tradition of excellence in Art and Music. Applicants must possess a Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Art and also possess a valid Texas Teachers Certificate in Art EC-12. Experience is preferred.
