Farley Middle School in Hutto, Texas — located 30 minutes northeast of downtown Austin — is seeking an Art Teacher to join an incredible staff beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Farley Middle opened in 2008 and currently serves 743 students. The Art program at Farley participates in Jr. VASE through TAEA, sending 14 student entries in 2026, all receiving Division 3 and 4 ratings. The 2-member campus Art team participates in district-wide collaborations and is supported by a 14-member Secondary Art PLC across the district. The Visual Arts Department puts on a Community Art Show on a Saturday each spring, scheduled for May 8th, 2027, showcasing the talented masterpieces of Hutto ISD’s students. Hutto ISD has been recognized as a District of Distinction for Visual Arts Education by the TAEA for 6 years, and that’s largely due to the unwavering support of the community and talented educators on our team. Secondary Art teachers meet together as a content area during full-district in-service for unified program expansion planning time and camaraderie.
