| This will be a hands-on "Bring Your Own Bisque Raku Event". Workshop will be lead by LHUCA Staff, and Matthew Wright. Participants will bring their own bisque they want to Raku fire. We will compare housemade LHUCA Raku glazes with Mayco Raku glazes (available through Blick). We will cover glaze application and American Raku glaze approach. We will fire multiple styles of kilns that are already at L.H.U.C.A. and participants are able to bring their own kiln if they need help sorting it or desire experienced assistance firing the kiln. We will discuss and compare benefits of various combustible materials.
Workshop will be held from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (with lunch to follow) at the LHUCA Clay Center. Please contact Matthew Wright at for more information. 4 CPE credits available. |
