YAM Spring Exhibition and Celebration

Each year, districts across the state may submit artwork created by Pre-K through 12th grade student artists in Public and Private Schools which will be selected to be on display in the YAM Spring Exhibition at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas during the month of March. The exhibition is followed by an Awards Celebration at the end of the month recognizing Flag Design winners from elementary, middle and high school, highlighting the overall Flag Design which will represent Texas Youth Art Month for the year. Friends and family are invited to the Awards Celebration at The Bullock (date will be announced) to view the exhibit, recognize all of the amazing artists and enjoy some light refreshments.

• Online Registration opens Monday, November 3, 2025 - Friday, December 5, 2025
• $12 per entry
• NO AI images
• See Rules and Guidelines in the 2025-2026 YAM Book for details
• One entry per active TAEA Member Teacher (submitted by designated District Representative)
• Upload the following to the designated areas:
  • 2025-2026 Artwork Permission Forms — (English) (Spanish)
  • Artwork as a high-resolution JPEG — please refer to YAM's Photographing Artwork Entries (PDF) instructions to maximize the quality of the artwork you are submitting.
• After artwork has been juried and notification of selected artworks has been made, designated District Representatives will mail physical artwork to:

Governor's Gallery

Each year, the First Lady of Texas, Mrs. Cecilia Abbott, selects a group of artworks from the Youth Art Month Spring Exhibition to be showcased in the Governor's Business Office for one year. This year, Mrs. Abbott has selected 14 pieces, 2D and 3D, with two special pieces which will be displayed in Governor Abbott and Mrs. Abbott's personal offices.

The artworks are framed by TAEA Youth Art Month, and the honored student artists and their families along with their teachers and district representatives are invited to a private celebration at the Governor's Mansion in their honor in June.
