2026 Annual TAEA Conference

Welcome to the TAEA 2026 Conference — AI — Artistic Intelligence

TAEA Conference Committee

Welcome to the 2026 Texas Art Education Association Annual Conference at the Moody Gardens Hotel & Convention Center in Galveston, Texas, November 12-14, 2026! We are excited to celebrate our individual and collective artistic intelligence and make meaningful connections with one another during this inspiring conference. Our conference will feature two dynamic keynote speakers: Claudio Zavala, Jr. — Claudio is with Adobe and is a talented Digital Creator and Adobe's Education Evangelist, and Jeffie Brewer — a Texas artist that is world-renowned for his public works, sculpture, and works on paper.

In addition, we will have many dynamic workshops, Experience Institutes and tours to choose from and, as always, an energetic and exciting exhibit hall featuring all your favorite vendors. Please join us for an incredible Multiverse Artisan's Market on Friday night in the Pyramid and a Houston Art Car Parade brought to us by the always fabulous Rickey Polidore. Pick up a receiver at one of our Chat ART stations to leave a response for the prompt question and share your artistic intelligence with us. We truly hope your conference experience is filled with new discoveries through unique learning experiences, interesting people and discussions that remind you of your innate AI-Artistic Intelligence.

Artistically yours, your 2026 Conference Co-Chairs,

Joan Finn, Texas City ISD
Julie Gallow, Humble ISD
Cheryl Evans, Retired
Natalie Harris, Humble ISD
Meredith Harrison, Alief ISD
