On June 15 the Retired Division hosted 
the Fifth Annual Robert W. Parker Senior 
Symposium at Blinn College in Brenham. 
While rain and flooding tried to dampen the 
day, everyone enjoyed a full day of creating, 
collaborating, 
conversations 
with 
good 
friends, food and fun.  A variety of workshops 
were offered from collaborative painting, 
neurographic 
card 
making, 
gelli 
plate 
techniques, new techniques with oil pastels, 
creative journals and creating for self-care 
with collage, watercolor and more. Attendees 
had the opportunity to watch and talk with a 
master painter and help paint a chair for TAEA 
Conference Silent Auction.
