2010 Annual TAEA Conference
Nurture Your Creative Spirit by coming to the 2010 TAEA Fall Conference in beautiful downtown Austin, November 11-14!
Make plans now to join us for the 2010 TAEA Fall Conference in Austin. The local conference committee and the Executive Board are working hard to offer more presentations and sessions than ever before. The Austin Convention Center has lots of spacious rooms, a large ballroom, and an extra-roomy exhibit hall. Our conference hotel (Austin Hilton) is conveniently located right next door, a short hop from the convention center entrance. Both the hotel and convention center are located right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of dozens of attractions, including the 6th Street entertainment district.
There will be experience institutes galore in Austin studios and galleries. Tours have been planned for the many museums and gallery spaces in the city. Even an eccentric Austin "Weird" tour has been planned for visits to such places as the "Tower of Junk". Last year's conference in Dallas posted record attendance, and we are planning for more of the same.
It's time to fill out an online application to present a session or workshop. Start creating your "Wearable Weird" to wear in the opening session Grand Procession! We hope that many of you will then donate your creation to the scholarship silent auction. Don't forget to bring art supply donations for our homeless "Art From the Streets" and/or put together some "Art & Soul" kits.
