YAM Exhibit and Celebration 2020

Each year, districts across the state may submit artwork made by Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade student artists in public and private schools to be selected for exhibition in the YAM State Capitol Artwork Exhibit in Austin. The 2020 exhibit began with a display in the Lower Rotunda of the Texas State Capitol Building and continued at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. Our annual YAM Celebration at the Bullock Texas State History Museum was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid-19 closures, but we were able to share the exhibit digitally via social media. Please make plans to join us next year in Austin for the annual YAM Texas Celebration!

Governor's Gallery

Each year, the Office of the First Lady of Texas selects a group of artworks from the YAM State Capitol Exhibit to be showcased in the Governor's Business Office for one year. This year, three pieces will be displayed in both Mrs. Abbott and Governor Abbott's offices. The works are framed by TAEA, and students are invited to a private reception in their honor.
