What I Love About TAEA: TAEA provides an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across the state. It has helped me to grow as an educator, an artist and a leader. TAEA is one of the biggest advocates for art education in the nation, and it has touched the lives of so many students and future generations of artists!

The Community Art Committee for TAEA is committed to serving those who bring art into their communities. However you do that, whether it is through non-profit centers, retail centers, or from the classroom, we want to know about what you are doing, how you are making community connections and what your priorities are.

Of primary interest are the diverse ways in which art educators provide art education and serve their communities and how TAEA can serve you through the community division.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with the areas of interest and concerns you have for community art education. Below find some possible areas of interest for the Community Art Committee. Please feel free to contact me with your ideas so we can add to the list. Together we can make a difference.

Possible areas of interest are:

    Texas Art Education Outreach

TAEO promotes and offers successful quality art education support to Texas art educators through mentoring and professional development presentations.

    • What can you do to help the members you serve?
    • Do you know a good presenter?
    • Do you know someone who would be a great mentor?
    • Can you send information from people who reach out to you?
    • Can you reach out to other art educators?

TAEO can help with presenters and mentors.

Let's help each other to prepare, support, and encourage Texas art educators.
