WELCOME TO AREA VI
Area VI would like to thank all of the teachers and students that participated in the 2011-2012 Local Youth Art Month Competition. There were 350 amazing artworks from various elementary, middle, high and private schools in the Houston area. The artwork was on display for the month of March at The Glassel Jr. School located in Houston, Texas. We will be taking a hiatus from participating in the Local Youth Art Month Competition for the 2012-2013 school year. Stay tuned for information about next years YAM Competition.
The 2012-2013 Conference in San Antonio was a BLAST!! Thank you to the San Antonio Local Committee for putting together such a stellar Conference. The General Session speakers were all outstanding and the various workshops were, as always, very informative and refreshing. The TAEA app for the Conference was another great venue to receive up-to date information about cancelled sessions, reminders to visit vendors and to pick up door prizes, and best of all, access to numerous handouts that can be used as a resource even if you did not attend the workshop!!
We can not wait for next years Conference, November 21-24 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.
